• Reprioritized SEIU California’s goals, work plans and budgets to focus on new member organizing in private and public sectors, and investments in activating the “Rising American Electorate”
• Worked with leaders and staff to oversee SEIU California’s successful 2013-2016 state legislative campaigns, including health care county realignment, overtime pay for IHSS caregivers, funding and training for child care and early childhood education, wage theft protection and $15/hour minimum wage
• Envisioned and launched new 35-organizational member legislative coalition “Building the California Dream Alliance” in 2015-2016
• Managed SEIU’s 800-person staff operation and worked with SEIU International Union Officers and senior staff in 2010-2013 to create work plans and carry out unionwide agenda
• Oversaw SEIU’s public campaigns in 2009-2010 for the Affordable Care Act and labor law reform
• Directed SEIU’s engagement on and $95 Million investment in the 2008 US presidential election and managed all independent expenditures
• Directed Attorney General Mike Hatch’s gubernatorial campaign in close contest with incumbent Governor Tim Pawlenty
• Co-founded and directed Workers for Wellstone campaign in 2002, and served as 5th Congressional District Wellstone advisor and member of Wellstone for Senate Field Advisory Group in 1996
• Coordinated Steelworkers winning public campaign against Kaiser Aluminum involving 3,000 locked-out Steelworkers in 1998-2000
• Managed 1996 successful and top targeted campaign against incumbent Republican in Twin Cities suburb by electing first-in-nation Asian Indian to a state legislature
